So, our careful guide will help you in understanding what should not be followed in 2015.

Unlike other fields, graphic design is a term which has many jargons still undiscovered by its corporals. Here I am focusing on those which are less discussed, but has a powerful impact on a web solutions Dubai and how and when to use them especially if you are working for a Dubai-based market.

Raster images

Raster images or more commonly used word was vector based images are made of pixels. Raster images more commonly known as bitmap images and they are made of thousands of pixels (the pixels are then used to determine the color of the image). While photos are mostly raster images and most commonly used tools of raster image manipulation is Adobe Photoshop. However, resizing of raster images can be a tricky or difficult job because pixel size is limited. For instance, in Adobe Photoshop If you will enlarge the image, which will force the software to fill out the pixel space damaging the quality of an image.

What to avoid:

It is advised to be very careful when resizing the image or to avoid any quality compromise it is better to choose the image of HD quality and with a perfect size.

Vector images

Vector-based images (usually created in Adobe Illustrator) are made up of points using X and Y coordinates. These points are used to form shapes, and in these shapes one can add color and this makes them easy to resize without loss of quality.

With the advancements in Illustrators, now it is possible to add gradients, complex shapes, and many more elements to create complex and unique elements. These vector images can be resized easily that is why mostly used in designing Logos, as they have to go through many alterations to fit in different displays such as posters, billboards etc.

What to avoid:

Before selecting a type of images it is better to understand the usability of it as both raster and vector images have different ways to use.

CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, yellow key)

This term is used to represent a standard color mode for documents can be used in flyers, magazines, annual reports, flyers or different reports. And it represents the color palette of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Key as during printing each color palette is carefully aligned to the print desired image on paper. These four color plates are made when there is a task in the press and they are used to create different colors.

However, using Photoshop or Illustrator, one can choose between CMYK, RGB or many other color modes. It is better to understand that RGB (Red, Green, and Black) has more flexibility than CMYK palette. That is why most of the designers prefer RGB than CMYK.

What to avoid:

It is must remember that RGB has a more natural color palette to which human eye is more familiar and in case of conversion from RGB to CYMK you will surely loose the quality.
